Today is yet again a punctual Monday on the endless weeks of the year. Normally, this would be a good thing for Michael, as this is the only day that he was allowed to visit Dr.Angus. Not that his parents are disallowing him from seeing the genius yet weird doctor, since they don't know about him anyway, but it is the doctor himself that tells him not to.
Michael figured it out for himself less than a week ago, when he went to the old Angus' house to continue his tour of marvelous inventions, he was very quickly rejected by Dr.Angus giving him a lecture about breaking his constant motion and disastrous effects with a few lines of overprotective parents in between. The lecture definitely sounded very nice and clear to himself, as he secretly gave himself a grin as he closed the door behind him, but all he did is confuse Michael and leaving him with more questions than he answered.
However on this very day, which is also the day where Michael wished that he could get a much more clearer answer from Dr.Angus, his classmates did the favour of giving him his answers much earlier than he expected.

As he entered the classroom, the class was yet again chattering with max levels of noise, which is very normal for his classmates that just could not wait to share about what they have did during their weekend. However, as Michael sat in his seat and waited for class to start, he suddenly thought that he heard the phrase 'weird science guy', just as he tilted his head backwards, he heard the name 'Angus dude' from coming out from James' mouth, he immediately turned his head over, asking: "Excuse me, but what are you guys talking about?"
James turned his head over and smirked at him. "What, you haven't heard? Aren't you the smart one here, Michael?"
"Seriously, James. Why would I ask a question to which I know the answer to?"
"Huh," James snorted as he took a sip from his water bottle "actually it's a pretty short incident, but still interesting, I might say. There's this old guy called Angus, and he has just moved into our nice town. But guess what? This dude is one of those err... whatever you call them again? Smarters? Or is it Sci, uh, sciencers?"
"You mean scientists?"
"Yep, I think that's the thing, but not only that, according to Edward, he also made this thing that was really scary, it creates like a mini war-zone inside the house. It must have been very big and real, you should have seen the look on his face when I asked him about it! He was just as pale as my homework sheet! Luckily it was apparently taken away pretty soon."
"Wait, did a lot of people signed in agreement against Dr.Angus?"
"Did you just call him a doctor? Didn't you just say that he is called a scientist?"
"Uh, nope. Just a slip of the tongue, I meant that it's a mistake. Can you just tell me why it was taken away?"
"Well, I don't think that there was actually an amendment(agreement). It was probably when this little kid pressed the doorbell button and was very shocked by the noise, then there was no more noise after that, I think. I feel very sorry for that kid though. That old guy should know the customs here when he entered."
"I actually think the opposite."
"Whatever, dude. You're always the opposite one here."
After school ended, James immediately came over and started dragging Michael to soccer practice. "Michael, you have been leaving early for home recently. Don't you think that you can do that again!" James shouted.
"Why not?" Michael rejected.
"Because that would be skipping!"
"I'm pretty sure that is only used for school, James."
"Whatever, you do know that that is very unfriendly. I have another question for you, you did not really explain why you left early, so what was the reason?"
"I'm pretty sure I have my own rights in privacy."
"Well, according to what I think, you must have been visiting that Angus dude, right?"
"What makes you think that?"
"You were acting weird today, especially when we were talking about him, so tht was obvious."
"Well, I am certainly not telling you anything. Also, your acting skills are really bad. You are nothing like an interrogation officer."
"How about this, if you take me to whoever you're going to, I won't tell anyone else, I'm interesting."
"It's 'interested'."
"Stop correcting my grammar."
"Whatever, but you will keep your promise, right?"
"Yep."
"Fine then." Then, Michael picks up his sachet and left the class, signalling James to follow.
As Michael led James down the road, his brain was filled by what Dr.Angus would say when he finds out that he has brought a busybody to his house, when he had always told him to not tell anyone of him.
James turned his head over and smirked at him. "What, you haven't heard? Aren't you the smart one here, Michael?"

When Michael and James finally reached the house of Dr.Angus, James suddenly shouted, "Hey Angus dude, are you actually a medicine guy or are you a smarty guy?"
Michael immediately smacked his forehead with his palm, then turning his head to James, he asked, "Seriously, James, why are you asking that?"
"Well, when I asked you what he is called, for one time you told me that he is the science guy, then like right after that you called him a doctor or something, so is he both or something?"
"Come on, James. I was referring to the degree, doctorate, it's like a grade, or a level that you can get in a game, but you can only get it if you are smart enough."
"Wait, are you saying that there are other meanings to the same word?"
Michael just gave a sigh, then instead proceeded to press the doorbell. Then, Dr.Angus' head popped out of the door. Then just as Michael expected, Dr.Angus' face is immediately taken over by an extremely bewildered expression of surprise when he looked up. Before Michael could say anything, James immediately rushed up to the confused doctorate, shouting "Hey Old Angus! I've been waiting for a chance to see you! My name is James, in case you aren't going out of your lab enough and now wondering who I am, though if you ask any kid in town here, they would know who I am. So tell me, what business do you bring here, old man?"
Before Dr.Angus could say anything, Michael ran up and pulled them apart, "James, let me do this. Dr.Angus, meet James. James, meet Dr.Angus. James, you could go in first, I have something to discuss with Dr.Angus."
"Well why should I, Michael?"
"It's something very personal, okay? No, it's nothing about you, you're the one that is getting the better of us between us, seeing that I've brought you here. Just give me like five more minutes, please."
Pouting, James entered through the door and left Dr.Angus and Michael outside. However, the person that spoke first was the old doctor.

"So, Mike." He said as he took a peek at the new boy that he had just met, "I see that finally one of your nosy friends has found out about your knowledge of me. Hot only so, he also forced you to, in his terms, introduce himself to me, or else there will be blackmailing involved, am I right?"
"Well actually, that's exactly what happened, Dr.Angus. But how did you know?"
"Unlike you, I listen to and focus on the details, I've already told you on the first day we met, I'm also a bit of a detective, and also a great one at that, if I say so myself. Just by the way that you pushed him inside, verbally, of course, I've already figured out basically how everything went. All I did after that was putting that James' manners as supporting evidence."
Michael's jaw immediately dropped with awe. "Wow, that really... Impressive! But I'm actually really sorry for bringing my friend here, when you've always told me not to tell anyone about you." He said when he was finally able to pick up his jaw and find the words.
"Don't worry, I have also did things that were not actually right, even when sometimes it's the best solution. About your friend though, I've actually met him before, and I would also agree that he is less than nice. Now, I am not saying that you cannot have friends, but I really suppose that you maybe choose to have better or more suitable-"
"Hey Mr.Doctor and Michael! Are you guys coming in? It's already past five minutes!"
"James, can you not be so obnoxious?" Michael said as he entered the house.
Just as he did, James immediately shouted "Hey I wonder what do you have here Mr.Whatever or Whoever you are?" and started to flip open the drawers and everything inside. All types and colours of paper and small boxes started flying out from the drawer to the floor.
"James! Stop that! That's not nice at all, especially to someone that you just met! Put everything back and apologize, quick!" Michael shouted at his even more bothersome than usual 'friend'.
"You shut your face, Michael." James snapped, "I'm the guest here, that old weasel shouldn't mind anyway. You're friends with him, aren't you? Well, dweeb, could you get him show to me some magic so that I have a not wasted my time coming to his silly little isolation cave?"
Before Michael could say another word, the poor doctor's face went from pale colour to anger-filled red before another item went into James' hand and falling onto the ground.
"You little rascal!" He shouted. "How dare you give such insults! You'll be very sorry soon if you haven't!" He then grabbed a wand-like stick on the table and started chasing the mischievous boy that was running like a rabbit being chased by a hungry lion.
Michael was instantly dazed by the sight of an old man chasing a boy less than half his own size with a stick with a silver handle, which oddly reminds him of a wizard catching a monkey. Then, on top of the pile of files, cartons and scraps thrown by James, something caught his eye. Feeling curious, the innocent boy picked up the particularly shiny object. The object took the shape of any other sheet of paper thrown on the ground, however not only was it as hard as metal, its surface is is also extremely smooth, even to the extent that Michael could see his reflection in it like a mirror. In fact, Michael almost took it for a just a normal mirror until his realizes that although it is tough as glass, it can still however be bended like a thin sheet of metal and also survived a drop from a least a meter from the ground. Weirdly enough, it was the only paper-like object that held this property amongst the pile of items spread on the ground.
As Michael tried to investigate the weird material further, James returned, laughing: "Ha! You'll never catch me!" then proceeded to rush out through the door without even giving a glancing at Michael.
Just as Michael expected, Dr.Angus soon enters soon after, huffing and puffing as he did so.
Holding up the sheet Michael asked,"Dr.Angus, may I ask..." Then, suddenly, his mouth stopped from talking and his arm lowered. Although just like his reason for his liking for books over sports, he was unable to even give himself a reason for why he stopped, something in his gut just told him to figure out the secrets of the metallic plate rather than trusting the doctor to tell him the answer.
"Yes?" asked the trustworthy doctor.
"Um... I was asking if I can help you in well... Cleaning up and putting everything back in place?" lied Michael as he swiftly stuffed the mysterious paper down into his sachet.
"Of course! That'll be great! Especially after the mess that your 'friend' did here." Dr.Angus replied.
"I'm really sorry for bringing him here, I actually kind of see why you told me not to tell anyone else about you now." Michael apologized.
"Ah well, people make mistakes, especially when making friends... But make sure that you will keep your promises next time or you will know your consequences!"
"Yes, Dr.Angus! I'll make sure James doesn't speak ill are spread rumors of you. Though seeing as he thinks that he got the better(more like he was the bully) in this situation and neither did he see much, he shouldn't say much. I promise I'll make sure he won't say anything."
"If I were you, I'll worry more about keeping that promise you made than that 'friend' saying anything. Now, if you really want to help and solve the problem that was created, why don't you stop whining about how sorry you are and actually do something?"
"Yes, sir!" Michael exclaimed as he picked up the items and returned them into the drawers under the guidance of the mildly furious doctor.
After almost an hour, all of the mess was pretty much cleaned up and in place.
"Well, I think that that's pretty much everything, isn't it?" asked Michael as he wiped the sweat off his head.
"I sure hope that it is, let me check the time..." Replied Dr.Angus as he checked over his wrist "Heh, good thing you came early, or your parents would think that something's up! Though even so, you should really go back now, before that wish backfires."
"Alright then, bye!" answered Michael as quickly picked up his sachet, making sure that the 'paper' doesn't get exposed as he gets sent out by Dr.Angus.
"Bye!" shouted Dr.Angus.
"Got it, Dr.Angus! I promise I won't cause any more trouble!" called out Michael as he left, not knowing that trouble is the exact thing that he would get into.
Michael's jaw immediately dropped with awe. "Wow, that really... Impressive! But I'm actually really sorry for bringing my friend here, when you've always told me not to tell anyone about you." He said when he was finally able to pick up his jaw and find the words.
